Anambra 2021: Andy Uba Denies Rejecting Outcome of Poll As INEC Issues Certificate To Soludo
The governorship candidate of all progressive congress, APC, senator Andy Ubah, has denied media reports that he rejected the outcome of the November 6, poll in Anambra State.
This was made known to the press by the deputy director, media, and publicity of Andy Ubah Governorship Campaign Organization, ikechuchwu Emeka Onyis today. He said their candidate is yet to make an official statement about the poll and will do the same this weekend after meeting with his campaign team.
Recall that on Thursday 11th November jerry Ngokwe, spokesman for Andy Uba campaign organization said their candidate won't accept the outcome of the election because it is a charade and did not reflect the wishes of the people of Anambra state.
Meanwhile, the Independent National Election Commission, INEC today presents certificate of return to the governor-elect of Anambra state, professor Charles Chukwuma soludo.
The Election body in the country presented the certificate of return to professor soludo and his deputy at its headquarters in Awka, capital of the state. this was done by the national commissioner of INEC, Mr. Festus Okoye.He (okoye) expressed his gratitude to security agencies, political parties and candidates, election duty officials, the national peace committee under the leadership of General Abdusalam Abubakar, religious and community leaders, socio-cultural organizations, and media for the sacrifice and support in ensuring that the election was peaceful and fully concluded.
